Artist statement

Oil painting has been a primary form of artistic expression that’s been very dear to me. Being self taught, it has been without boundary. Painting has allowed me to materialize visions in a way that feels precise and welcoming. My craft bridges the gap of my visions through my dreams and waking life. Witnessing them unfold into their utmost potential in the physical is something that I am forever passionate about. Magnified in themes of both surrealism and realism, I am eternally inspired by God and his creation. I am constantly in awe. I live in great admiration of nature and this earth, something I have always felt so inherently connected to, as they were made through Him and so was I. My work is in celebration of the gift that is life and the giver that is good. My art is expressed in the mediums of painting, photography, videography, speaking, writing. Visual arts has always had my heart, far before I specifically picked up a paint brush with intention, where I soon came into the knowingness that painting was something that flowed naturally to me. Capturing and documenting the beauty that resides in life's complexities through my eyes in detail, and how being present with God comes with being in a constant dance with the beauty that surrounds you and the love that is constantly flowing to you.
